Sanbenchianching is inspired by the changing social dynamics in Taiwan. With the workspace expanding beyond traditional offices to personal residences, the design addresses the need for a livable environment that supports both work and leisure. The layout and traffic flow are meticulously planned to accommodate the requirements of working from home, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle.
What sets Sanbenchianching apart is its holistic approach to design. It is not just a residence, but a space that considers life versus healthy life, job function versus family leisure time, and current regimen lifestyle versus future retirement life. The design incorporates ventilation channels based on the existing layout and uses materials that are heat-insulating and energy-saving, reflecting an environmental engineering perspective.
The design realization technology employed in Sanbenchianching is a testament to the designer's commitment to creating a natural ambiance. Stone collage walls and wood materials are used to create a space that is permeated with a sense of nature. Black iron pieces are used on the TV wall to display collections and create an end view.
One of the unique features of Sanbenchianching is the tea station set up in the living room. This station serves as a prep area for healthy Chinese herbal medicine teas, with complete functionality from tool storage, water purification, to teapot heating and water boiling. This feature is a nod to the importance of wellness in the overall design concept.
The design of Sanbenchianching is a result of extensive research into the needs of the new class of home workers. It is designed to support not only job functions but also the owner’s health preservation. The design is permeated with a sense of nature, so the owners can look forward to future retirement life.
